Frequently Asked Questions
Who organizes REAL BAD?
REAL BAD is produced by Grass Roots Gay Rights West (GRGR/West), a local, all-volunteer non-profit committed to raising and distributing funds to grassroots organizations that strengthen the diverse populations that make up San Francisco’s LGBT community. REAL BAD is the only event of its kind that gives 100% of the money raised from general admission ticket sales back to its beneficiaries.
When and where is REAL BAD?
TIME – Sunday, September 26, 2010, from 7 PM until 4 AM (immediately following the Folsom Street Fair).
How can I get tickets for REAL BAD?
Become a HOST. ($150/$175) **SOLD OUT**
Details on the Host program are on the Host 101 page. Host enrollment was open to the general public beginning July 8, 2010 at 12:01 am, on a first-come basis.

Buy tickets at a RETAIL OUTLET. ($90)
Limited tickets are available in San Francisco Saturday morning of Folsom weekend on a first-come basis, limit two (2) per person. Check out the Ticket Information for the names and addresses of the retail outlets. NOTE: Please do not call the outlets to make special arrangements. Tickets will go on sale at the retail outlets when their doors open, and they usually sell out quickly. We advise arriving before they open.
Buy tickets at the DOOR. ($100)
A very limited number of tickets (100) are sold at the club's box office starting at 6 PM the day of the event. We advise you to arrive before then, as they also sell out quickly.
What if I don't know any of the Hosts?
Limited tickets are available at retail outlets and at the door the day of the event. If you’re coming from outside San Francisco and don’t arrive until after they’ve gone on sale, either try to find someone local who can buy them for you or you can get one at the door before the event if you arrive early enough.
Where can I buy tickets outside of San Francisco?
Beginning Saturday, September 18, a limited number of tickets will be sold at Nasty Pig, 265A W. 19th Street in New York City.
Why don't you sell tickets online?
One of the unique things about REAL BAD is that the majority of tickets are sold through our Hosts...creating a Circle of Friends at the event itself. We also wait until one day before the party (Saturday) to start selling tickets at the San Francisco retail outlets, to allow the public and out-of-town visitors the opportunity to buy them after arriving. Our intent is certainly not to frustrate people who are trying to get tickets, but to make them available through a variety of outlets...including at the door the night of the event.
Does the party sell out?
